The mission of the Cloverleaf Elementary School Counseling Program, in collaboration with school staff, parents/guardians, and community members, is to lay the foundation for all students to achieve personal success in their academic, career, and personal/social development.  The program advocates for the education of the whole child by providing a developmentally age-appropriate curriculum that is proactive and comprehensive in nature.

What does a School Counselor do?

Cloverleaf Elementary school counselors are available to help students reach their highest potential in the areas of academic, personal/social, and career development.  To achieve this, school counselors provide a program of many services including:

  • Classroom & group guidance lessons
  • Short-term individual counseling
  • Short-term small group counseling
  • Short-term crisis counseling
  • Individual and small group appraisal
  • Individual and small group advisement
  • Referral assistance to outside community programs and services
  • Consultation & collaboration with parents/guardians, teachers, school personnel, administrators, and community members
  • Professional development

By means of these services, school counselors address students' developmental needs and concerns.  Common topics addressed include study skills, organizational skills, feelings, behavior, coping skills, bullying, grief/loss, divorce, decision making, self-esteem, friendship, conflict resolution, and many more.

Elementary School Counselor- Ms. Lee

Ms. Lee
Hello, my name is Wendy Lee and I am a School Counselor here at CES.    This is my 10th year here at Cloverleaf and my 22nd year in education.  Prior to becoming a counselor, I was an elementary teacher for 13 years in the Field Local Schools district which is actually my alma mater.  I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (1-8) and my Master's degree in School Counseling (K-12) at the University of Akron.  Go ZIPS!

I work alongside 2 other amazing counselors; Lara Stafinski and Stacy Cavey.  I am so honored and excited to be a part of this amazing school family we have here at CES!

When I am not at work I enjoy hanging out with my three children; Jude, Brock, and Charleigh.  We love to go kayaking, camping, four-wheeling, swimming, rock collecting, and playing sports.

This year I am working with students in grades K, 2, and 4.  The elementary years are full of growth, discovery, changes, and challenges.   In order to meet students’ needs, I meet with students individually, in small groups, and do classrooms lessons. As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students.
If you need to get in contact with me, please email me at [email protected].  You may also contact me by phone at (330) 302-0103 ext. 15312.  I am eager to have a successful, fun school year here at CES.  Go Colts!

Elementary School Counselor-Mrs. Stafinski

Mrs. Stafinski
Hi, my name is Mrs. Lara Stafinski and I am one of two School Counselors at CES. Ms. Lee and I both have the privilege of following your child through their entire elementary career. During the 2024-25 school year, I will work closely with all students in grades 1st, 3rd, and 5th. This year is going to be "Coltastic"!

This is my 17th year as a School Counselor at CES. I am a proud alumnus of Cloverleaf High School and my heart will always "bleed green". Mr. Stafinski and I are the proud parents of four amazing children (Cody, Campbell, Carlynn, and Cate), a Newfoundland dog named Maximus Decimus Meridius, an English Mastiff named Ruby, two Dutch rabbits named Chocolate and Butterscotch, a spunky cat named Koda Mae.  We love being together, baking, walking in the parks, visiting zoos, and spending time with those we love.

My goal as a school counselor is to make every child here at CES feel loved, and learn how to feel confident in having the tools to handle any situation that may come their way! Please contact me anytime, (330) 302-0103 x4842 or [email protected] GO COLTS!
